Aryeh Bourkoff is a master dealmaker and prominent investment banker who has led some of the biggest mergers and acquisitions in the world. He has been an omnipresent force in the media and telecommunications megadeals that have shaped the global digital economy. Aryeh is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of LionTree, an independent merchant bank advising and investing in the evolution of the global digital economy. He is also the Founder of Kindred Media, a digital media and podcasting company powered by LionTree. Prior to founding LionTree, Aryeh spent 13 years at UBS, closing his tenure as Vice Chairman and Head of Americas Investment Banking. Before joining UBS, he was a high–yield research analyst at CIBC World Markets and Smith Barney and ranked as the number one cable and satellite analyst by Institutional Investor for seven consecutive years.

Aryeh held a number of senior positions at UBS including Joint Global Head of TMT Investment Banking; and Head of the Media and Communications Research Group.
He was Head of Americas Investment Banking at UBS, where he oversaw investment banking across all sectors throughout the Americas and held a seat on UBS’s global Investment Banking Executive Committee.
During his tenure, UBS became the premiere M&A advisor in the media sector and facilitated landmark transactions including Comcast’s US$37.5 bn purchase of NBC and the US$21 billion workout of Charter Communications.
He advised MGM on its $8.45B sale to Amazon and represented Apollo Global Management on its nearly $5B acquisition of Yahoo from Verizon.
He advised Richard Branson in 2019 on the merger of Virgin Galactic into a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by Chamath Palihapitiya.
He represented ViacomCBS in its pending $2.18 billion sale of Simon & Schuster, the book-publishing division, to Penguin Random House.
