Jerry Hwang is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Jirisan Capital, a global multi-asset management firm. He launched Jirisan Capital with the belief that global multi-asset investing requires a holistic understanding of not only each asset class in isolation, but also their dynamic interaction in aggregate. Hwang has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, and the United States, acquiring over 20 years of experience across equities, fixed income, and derivatives. Most recently, he was a Portfolio Manager at Matthews Asia, where he worked on the Strategic Income fund and managed risk exposures in fixed income, equity, convertible, and FX asset classes.

EARLY CAREER
Hwang started his career as an equity derivatives analyst at D.E. Shaw.
He served as a High Yield Analyst for Morgan Stanley and a Fixed Income Analyst for DWS.
During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, he gained experience on both the sell-side, as an emerging markets analyst, and the buy-side, as a member of the Customized Fixed Income team.
He was also a Lead Portfolio Manager on $6 BN of AUM at Vanguard, while managing callable agency bond allocations across a further $200 BN.
